James, the updates will bring a new ui, However the new UI will be later this year but the under the hood things are done ready for iOS app launch!

This sounds a good idea, but if you leave your device unattended then someone could simply use one of the custom commands to shut down or make your device enter safe mode which could be extremely annoying.

Probably been a server that has crashed. When the service is back online they will most likely send out an email/text message explaining the situation and apologising.

@MatthewSalmon, Yeah i had one too and it was a worry for me, even when i had a semiuntether my 4 Would die on me in the morning and would be left without a phone for the rest of the day. Its best to save SHSH blobs from 4.3.3 or what your on and update to iOS 5.0.1 now and save the SHSH blobs from that too!

I've released and most people should know tethered jailbreak is very annoying I had one for a while and it is a constant worry knowing whether you would have enough charge and it is very annoying so I would heed this above advice, you do not want tethered.

I think a lot more people should also think about PIPA (protect ip) many critics say SOPA is deliberately harsh in order to pass PIPA off the back of it and people do forgot PIPA is less serious then SOPA but still very bad.

I think it is also very important that people also release that the people pushing this bill through do not use the internet and many of the people are not trying to look after the wants of the american people but large business's who fund them.

It's interesting to see which of these companies did protest. It's a shame Twitter didn't protest and Facebook didn't. They would have made the biggest impact. I'm glad to see that Wikipedia protested though.

That's is incredible! The modern world seems to rely on technology a lot! If the world could not use any technology for a day then I don't know how people would cope! It's just astonishing the amount that technogy is created and used just in 60 seconds!

This is simply a clever but annoying business trick fron Apple. It makes people buy new products so Apple get more money, but there are still a surprising number of people using these old devices so this is going to be highly frustrating for them.
